I dreamed I was a rich man in a house so big and white
My world stretched all around me like stars upon the night
I dreamed I woke in heaven and in paradise did dwell
Until I chanced upon a poor man whose story I dare not tell

I woke from all my dreaming with doubts upon my mind
I saw my world around me but no memories could find
What images of darkness and troubles haunted me?
The fallibility of reason was all that I could see

An illusion of reality projected from my soul
Like a mirror's fading beauty of something I once stole
Reflections all around me of confusion deep within
The insignificance of experience in a race I couldn't win
